Avoid complex patterns or printed designs because they are more likely to have alignment issues. For briefs, the same rules apply — simple, cotton, and branded minimally are the best choices.

The biggest mistake is ordering the wrong size based on general sizing charts. Underwear sizing is more personal than other categories. Another mistake is ignoring the fabric blend — some batches use polyester blends that feel different from 100% cotton. If you prefer cotton, check the composition percentage. Elastic waistband quality is also a common issue — check for stretch recovery.

For underwear, check the waistband elastic, stitching around the fly, and leg opening finishing. These are the wear points. The waistband should be wide and stretch evenly. The stitching should be flat and not bulky. For multipacks, check that all items in the pack are the same shade and fabric weight. Mismatched packs are a known issue in some batches.

Underwear is a functional category, so style is less important than fit and comfort. Neutral colors like black, white, and gray are the most practical. If you wear lighter-colored pants, white or light gray is the safer choice. For darker pants, black or navy works. Avoid bold patterns if you want versatility.
